The Capitals have traded Richard Zednik to the New York Islanders, reportedly for a second round pick in the 2007 draft. Les Capitales ont échangé Richard Zednik aux Islanders de New York, aurait un deuxième tour de sélection dans les 2007 projets.
Decent return for a rental — Zednik is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season — particularly for one that played only 32 games this year.
