Unlängst waren die Kapitalien in der Hitze eines Endspieldurchlaufes. Da Februar einen Deep freeze zum Washington Bereich, also holte, ihn auch tief-sixed, scheint Endspielhoffnungen der Kapitalien zu haben'. Schicksal und Trübsinn hat innen unter einer Anzahl von den Kappen' zuverlässig eingestellt. . . aber alles ist nicht verloren.
Ehemaliger NHL Trainer und Pfadfinder Pierre McGuire ist z.Z. ein Analytiker, der Farbe Kommentar für beide Kanadas zur Verfügung stellt TSN und Das NHL auf NBC. Gesichtspunkt McGuires für Sendung Sonntags der Kappen/Federneigung war „innerhalb des Glases,“ zwischen den zwei Mannschaftbänke und gab ihm eine einzigartige Perspektive.

Meks sense. The Pens hit the crapper earlier than the Caps and had more top 5 picks than anyone, so they should be getting better right about now. The Caps, even though they don’t have the same number of top picks, had a few, and lots of money under the cap. Being a year behind Pittsburgh sounds just about right.
Although McGuire can be annoying, he has a sharp hockey mind and isn’t afraid to put his out there. I appreciate his work.
You hate to say it, but it’s true.. I think Tarik’s been a little on the guys this year, but they are right on track for surging ahead next year and being real contenders.
I’ve long felt we needed five years of Top 5 picks to get where we really want to go and it is a valid point that the Penguin Scum tanked sooner and more often than we have been down.
However, McGuire was downrighy annoying. He kept harping on the faceoffs on Sunday and the Caps won exactly ONE more faceoff than the Penguin Scum did (29-28). Listening to McGuire and not checking the statsheet, you would have thought that the Caps were dominating in the faceoff circle.
