Rbk Edge

The USA Today has an article on the new NHL Uniforms including a picture.

“Photos of the uniforms, obtained exclusively by USA TODAY, show more of an evolutionary rather than a revolutionary change.”

Appropriately, their model is a crybaby.

  1. What a dramatic improvement! Will place a call in to EPA to see if burning my sweater collection of unworthys poses any risks.

Actually, they are not too bad. The real test comes when each team unveils their design.
I hope not every team abandons the horizontal or angled stripe at the bottom of the sweater. It seems that these new unis are not required to be tucked in which would allow for some horizontal striping.

Though the NHL won’t be officially unveiling their new uniform design until next week’s All-Star festivities in Dallas, USA Today……

I know they are different, but they are not half bad. As long as the caps uni’s are good; that’s all I realy care about.

IMO the uni’s aren’t bad…especially when you see how they look when worn. Please, Ted, bring back the RWB color scheme next season!

At $424 a pop you better hope they don’t change jerseys too often!! Gone are the days of collecting jerseys. No wonder they’re eliminating third jerseys next year. It’ll cost you close to a grand just to update to the new home whites and away colors. They can wait a couple of Christmas to soak you for $500 for the alternate.

I’m sorry, but those sweaters are awful. And they better not mess with any of the classic uniforms like the Wings, Habs, Hawks or Bruins. I’ll be really pissed. Those are classic and instantly recognizable for a reason.

These jerseys look horrible! It’s not just about the material,it is the design that sucks. They could of kept the same cut, with the new material. This is pretty bad even by all star jersey standards. Even the socks look stupid!Crosby looks like a mummy. Players are going to look real lame out there on the ice.I don’t think I could stand to watch. I cringe everytime I see a Sabres game this year. Hockey has gotten some pretty lame fans too over the last decade, so those morons will probaly be the ones that like these. By the way, Watching a live game(more so in the West) is also a chore these days since most fans sole objective at the game is to act goofy and dance the entire time to get pictured on the jumbo tron. If it is not that , some one else is babling on a microphone constantly.People can not just sit and watch the game! It takes some devotion to subject yourself to putting up with that the ENTIRE game. (This doesn’t happen as much in Toronto and New Jersey from my experience). It’s amazing to me that the younger generation thinks it is so cool to look like an idiot. The piped in music also sucks…(I wish I lived in Chicago). My days watching the NHL are numbered..Rob
