That was the quote from colour commentator Ray Ferraro in the Stars / Oilers game last night. I am so glad I stayed up to watch it.
The Stars were up by one. The Oilers pulled the netminder. Patrik Stefan can put the Stars up by 2 with 11 seconds left on a shot that even Esa Tikkanen couldn’t miss. The announcer says “Stefan steals… and he’ll ice it…… woah… at least I thought he was gonna… until he blew it…that’s unbeliveable”
See it here:
All this came after a goal by Niklas Hagman that Ferraro described as “Ovechkin-like”. If I can’t find a video of it, I’ll pull it from my TiVo recording and post it later.

I turned on that game when it was 4-1 Edmonton. Watched the Stars tie it and then Hagman score an amazing goal that WAS almost Ovechkin like(think “The Goal”). I laughed when Ferraro said that and then couldn’t believe the rest of the game. Too bad the game didn’t end after OT or that the Oilers lost in the shootout cause Rexall place was going nuts.
Pretty sure Tik WOULD have missed that goal.

I uploaded that video of the hemsky goal and the reason I had all the video apps running was initially because of the hagman goal. I was just ready to post the link to it when stefan had the puck hop over his stick.
Here’s the link to both:
