Dang, just remembered another good ad, this one for the Washington POST: Their campaign was “Not going anywhere for awhile?” and said, basically, take the POST along if you’re gonna be in one place for awhile. This one had Berube and Kaminski (I think–might’ve been Hunter) sitting in the penalty box, reading the POST.

OC, there were rumors there was one that wasn’t aired: It showed Gonchar with an attractive young lady, obviously getting ready for a tete-a-tete. They kiss, go thru a door, the door closes, and a siren goes off above the door.
If that one hadn’t been made, it should have been. But it’s gonna be hard to top this Ovie/Leonsis ad.

Victor, I remember those ads when Ted first bought the team. They had some great ones like Olie’s fancy dinner, Chris Simon & Peter Bondra with the shopping carts, and some other very good ads. But yeah, this one’s a classic!
