I think you are correct in that everyone loves a frontrunner, and will pay to be one of the masses, taste excluded.  Although one aspect of the vintage sweater phenominon you are missing is the passage of time.... or the posibility that it's not the Vancouver fans buying the "V" sweater, but the blind.</description>
